Eight suspects escape into woods after ‘smash and grab’ at Brasfield’s Jewelry in Covington

Two fires happened simultaneously at Mason businesses last week – investigators believe they were set intentionally

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating two suspicious fires in Mason last week. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Tipton County Sheriff's Office are investigating the fatal shooting of a local musician. At approximately 10:30 p.m. Sunday a shooting was reported on Old Memphis Road, in the Covington area, sheriff Shannon Beasley said. Former Brighton alderman David Boone convicted of fondling

Instead of serving the Town of Brighton, a former alderman is now serving time.  David Boone was convicted of two counts of fondling last month, charges on which he was indicted in June 2021. A Munford man has been charged with first degree murder and arson after a fire on East Drive Tuesday morning. Oil spill reported in Covington subdivision last month
