Edwards, Richardson and Sullivan elected in Covington alderman race

In Covington, John E. Edwards and Chris Richardson won their elections to the board of mayor and aldermen. Rivers, Toliver, Chastain win race for Mason aldermen

Virginia Rivers and two newcomers won their races for aldermen this week. Rivers, who has served Mason for several terms, handily won re-election Tuesday with 29.23 percent of the vote. Giannini and two newcomers win alderman race in Atoka

In Atoka, longtime alderman Brett Giannini and three newcomers won election to the board of mayor and aldermen. Giannini, who was first elected in 2008 and is both a Memphis police officer and a National Guardsman, won 26.97 percent of votes (2,093).
