Local parks and recreation departments have announced closures

Covington Parks and Recreation announced Monday afternoon it will close its facilities until Monday, March 30. This includes the Sportsplex, Covington Aquatic Center, Tipton County Museum and all parks. Additionally, the spring youth baseball, softball and soccer seasons have been postponed. Tipton County Schools extends closure through March 31

Tipton County Schools announced Monday will extend its school closure through March 31. The schools had previously been closed for two weeks, through spring break, with a re-opening date set for March 30. Tipton County closes schools until March 30
