Couple charged with child abuse after drug bust finds their children living in filthy conditions

A recent drug bust had led to child abuse charges for one Tipton County couple. Tipton County Sheriff Shannon Beasley said when investigators and the SWAT team executed a search warrant at a home on Old Memphis Road last week, they not only found drugs and $30,000 in cash, they also found four children in conditions they called "filthy." County budget includes funding for new animal control facility and raises for cops

The Tipton County Legislature passed a $152.9 million 2022-23 budget Monday night that includes raises for county employees, money for a new animal control facility and the same property tax rate as last year. Wyatt Earp’s owner pleaded guilty to tax theft, sentenced to eight years probation

Wyatt Earp's owner Adam Kelley pleaded guilty to theft after more than two years of legal troubles, the Tennessee Department of Revenue announced Tuesday. Mason’s former police chief, officer face second round of indictments

Mason's former police chief and a former police officer were indicted this week in Tipton County for falsifying timesheets and, effectively, committing payroll theft. Former TCSO evidence custodian indicted for selling department-owned vehicle to friend

Drummonds woman indicted in four-year-old’s 2021 death

A Drummonds woman has been charged with the 2021 death of a four-year-old in her care, the Tipton County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday evening. Tammy Wilkerson, 52, of Milton Road, was indicted by the Tipton County Grand Jury for murder and child abuse. The child was in Ms. Wilkerson's care at the time when they were fatally injured.
