Active COVID-19 cases are at a 13-month low in Tipton County

COVID cases for the month of May 2021 were the lowest they’ve been in more than a year. According to the statistics provided by the Tennessee Department of Health, there were only 162 cases of COVID diagnosed last month. There were 179 cases reported in April 2021. McDaniel out on $100K bond

A Brighton man is out on bond after being charged with second-degree murder last week. Raymond Cole McDaniel, 22, was also charged with possessing a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony after allegedly shooting and killing Stephanie Brown on Thursday, May 20. A Brighton man was charged with second-degree murder after fatal shooting Thursday

A Brighton man has been charged with second-degree murder following the shooting death of a woman Thursday night. Details from the incident are not yet completely clear, Brighton Police Chief Mike Durham said Friday morning, but it was a domestic-related incident which remains under investigation.
