‘It just tugs at my heart’: Police concerned about increasing overdoses

Local law enforcement officials are becoming increasingly concerned about drug overdoses this year. Covington Police Chief Larry Lindsey said his department has worked six overdoses in the last two weeks, two of them fatal. Brighton man charged with second-degree murder after dumping woman who’d overdosed

The Tipton County Sheriff's Office has charged a Brighton man after a woman was found dead at a local Dollar General store Wednesday. A Byhalia, Miss. man is dead after a domestic disturbance with his ex-girlfriend, the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday afternoon.
