Two hours prior Smith showed up at the workplace of his ex-girlfriend, 35-year-old Amanda Robison Stone, in Memphis. He reportedly instigated a disturbance, and was armed, but a coworker intervened. Memphis Police are investigating that incident.

Smith later showed up armed at Stone’s Mason-Malone home, and after what TCSO calls “some level of confrontation,” was shot by Stone.

An autopsy will be performed.
