TBI, TCSO investigating shooting death of local musician

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Tipton County Sheriff's Office are investigating the fatal shooting of a local musician. At approximately 10:30 p.m. Sunday a shooting was reported on Old Memphis Road, in the Covington area, sheriff Shannon Beasley said. Munford man charged with murder, aggravated arson after fire on East Drive

A Munford man has been charged with first degree murder and arson after a fire on East Drive Tuesday morning. Munford Police Chief Randal Baskin said firefighters were dispatched to the home at approximately 4 a.m. and found an elderly man dead in the yard. The man has not been identified by police. Covington hostage situation ends after suspect killed by police

Murder suspect Terrance Taylor II turned himself in Tuesday morning

Terrance Taylor II, wanted for a homicide in Covington last month, turned himself in Tuesday morning. The 22-year-old is a suspect in the murder of Dontavious Edwards on Dec. 28, 2020.
