Covington PD investigating overnight homicide

Covington Police are investigating an overnight shooting that killed a 22-year-old. Officers were dispatched to Bluebird Cove at Loon Lane after gunshots were reported just after midnight Sunday. Candlelight vigil planned to honor Covington mass shooting victim Tamya Ewing-Somerville

There will be a candlelight vigil Wednesday evening to honor the life of a young woman killed in a mass shooting in Covington Saturday night. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Tipton County Sheriff's Office are investigating the fatal shooting of a local musician. At approximately 10:30 p.m. Sunday a shooting was reported on Old Memphis Road, in the Covington area, sheriff Shannon Beasley said. Munford man charged with murder, aggravated arson after fire on East Drive

A Munford man has been charged with first degree murder and arson after a fire on East Drive Tuesday morning. Munford Police Chief Randal Baskin said firefighters were dispatched to the home at approximately 4 a.m. and found an elderly man dead in the yard. The man has not been identified by police. The Covington Police Department is investigating the fatal shooting of a man at Bull Market on Christmas Day. Adel A.
