Police in Munford are investigating an apparent suicide attempt that followed a domestic disturbance. A Byhalia, Miss. man is dead after a domestic disturbance with his ex-girlfriend, the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday afternoon. Covington woman arrested after shooting Wednesday

A Covington woman was arrested following a shooting Wednesday night. Police say 32-year-old Margaret Smith was charged with aggravated assault and tampering with evidence after shooting a man during a domestic dispute at the Cottonwood Apartment complex. Covington police are investigating a stabbing at the Quality Inn on Deena Cove. The incident, stemming from a domestic dispute, took place just before 5 p.m. Tuesday night.
