Covington Police Chief Buddy Lewis has announced his resignation

Comptroller’s report shows fire chief bought sports equipment with city credit card

Covington Fire Chief Michael Naifeh, who is also a county commissioner, was indicted Tuesday on charges of official misconduct and theft under $1,000 by the Tipton County Grand Jury.According to the state comptroller's investigative report, he is being accused of using the city credit card to purchase personal items. A drive-by shooting in Covington injured a child overnight

 A child was hit in a drive-by shooting that took place in Covington overnight.  According to police chief Buddy Lewis the incident took place at 1 a.m. on S. College St.,  and sent the child to the hospital in non-critical condition.
