Linda Baybeck had a great love for her Lord and family

By Echo Day on October 18, 2019

Cross

Linda Kay Hutchison Baybeck, age 75, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at her home at the Sugar Creek Senior Living community, in Brownsville.

From her birth in Tipton County, on October 22, 1943, to her death on Thursday, she blessed the people around her with love, faith, and generosity.  She was born on the family farm near Drummonds and Munford to Edgar “Jab” and Connie (Joyner) Hutchison and was the second youngest of six children.  Kay married Peter “Pete” Baybeck, 58 years ago on July 1, 1961 at Poplar Grove United Methodist Church in Drummonds.

To know her was to know her love for the Lord and her gift for teaching.  She dedicated her life to loving, raising and caring for her children and grandchildren.  She was a Sunday School and Bible teacher for many years at Raleigh Assembly and Covington Assembly of God.  In addition to the Bible, she loved the outdoors and target shooting.  She very much enjoyed fishing and coached her five grandchildren at many fishing rodeos through the years.  She was a talented seamstress, recently using her skills to make and donate blankets to the Deaf and Blind School for Children.

Left to honor Linda Kay and remember her love, are Peter, Kay’s two children, Gina (Dan) Miller and Ragan (Andy) Baumheckel; five grandchildren; Joshua (Kimberly) Miller, Jessica (Joseph) Cate, Justin (Elizabeth) Miller, Anna (Travis) Richardson, and Emma Baumheckel; three great-grandchildren; Brixton Miller, Tucker Miller and Ava Cate; and a sister, Janell (Foster) Turnage.

With Linda Kay in heaven are her beloved parents, brothers Chester Dean, Elmer Wayne, Edgar Maurice and sister, Mary Drew.

Visitation for friends was held on Sunday, Oct. 13, from 1-2p.m. at Munford Funeral Home Chapel at 1136 Tipton Rd. in Munford with graveside services following at the Helen Crigger cemetery where the Rev. Bob Connerley officiated.

Linda Kay’s family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at the Sugar Creek Senior Living Center in Brownsville, specifically for their attentiveness and loving care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kay’s name to Gideon’s International.
