Two Covington men died in an accident near Rialto Monday afternoon

Two Covington men died in an accident in north Covington Monday afternoon.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, David “Snake” Mauldin, 55, and Randy Sage, 56, were killed when the Chevrolet Impala they were in pulled out in front of a semi at Hwy. 51 North and Rialto Road.

The Impala was traveling east across the highway, from Leigh’s Chapel to Rialto Road, and after the impact was pushed to the right side of the roadway.

The semi was driven by 37-year-old Derek Stevens of Mason. He is not facing charges.
