Munford Police are currently investigating a stabbing that took place this morning.
The department reports a woman, whom they have identified as Loni Melton, was stabbed at Fast Way at approximately 5:45 a.m. She was flown to the Regional One Medical Center in Memphis for treatment where she remains in critical condition.
She gave police the name of the suspect, Robert Lee Adams, and he was located a short distance away. He is currently in custody.
Police believe the incident to be a domestic situation. Adams was charged with aggravated assault and criminal attempt. He’s being held without bond.
