Munford’s is set for 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5.

Brighton will host its parade at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7.

Covington’s parade will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 14.

The Town of Garland will also be hosting a parade this year. It will take place on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 5 p.m.

Dickens Christmas will take place on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 13 from 1-5 p.m.

Every year the Town of Atoka hosts a Santa’s Ride event, where Santa is paraded through the subdivisions on a fire truck. That event will take place on Thursday, Dec. 10 and Saturday, Dec. 12. This year, to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, there will be no meet and greet with Santa.

Other cities have decided against candy and handouts during parades for a more pandemic-friendly experience.

The Leader would like to encourage event-goers to wear face masks, wash/sanitize hands and social distance to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
