An old feature is coming back, but it’ll have a new spin.
For many years The Leader published the Church of the Week, using stock photos of churches with information from our church directory on the opposite page.
“Back in 2014 we had a different vision for the Faith pages, one we thought would bring in more reader engagement,” said managing editor Echo Day. “We wanted churches to submit photos from their events, perhaps commentary from their pastors too, but that never really took off. We want to go back to our roots, to bring the Church of the Week back, but we want our readers to do the nominations. We want to know, in your words, what makes your church so wonderful.”
Evangelism committees, this is an easy way to get people in your doors.
Using our form, you can submit information about what makes your church special. We’ll need a photo to accompany the feature.
Churches can run once every six months to give others a chance. Submissions will be used as general features, which will run when chosen by Leader staff members, and cannot be used to advertise specific events.
