UTM to host future Skyhawk receptions for accepted students

By The Leader on January 22, 2026

MARTIN, Tenn. – Students who have been accepted to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin in the fall 2026 semester have a chance to meet faculty members in their chosen field of study, speak with representatives from the UT Martin offices of financial aid and housing, and learn more about college life from the UTM Center for Student Engagement.

The UTM Office of Undergraduate Admissions has planned several receptions that are designed with future Skyhawks in mind. There are six Future Skyhawk Receptions scheduled over the next two months.

The receptions will also offer future UT Martin students the opportunity to connect with other future Skyhawks and win scholarships.

The Future Skyhawk Receptions schedule is:

• Tuesday, Jan. 20, Boling University Center, Martin, 6 p.m.

• Wednesday, Jan. 21, Boling University Center, Martin, 6 p.m.

• Monday, Jan. 26, Madison Downs Venue, Jackson, 6 p.m.

• Monday, Feb. 2, The Lannom Center, Dyersburg, 6 p.m.

• Thursday, Feb. 12, Litchterman Nature Center, Memphis, 6 p.m.

• Tuesday, Feb. 17, Franklin Marriott Cool Springs, Franklin, 6 p.m.

Refreshments will be provided at the receptions.

Accepted students who would like to take part in these receptions should go online to RSVP for the event.

To register for a reception, future Skyhawks should go to www.utm.edu/studentreception, find the reception that is most convenient to attend and click on the RSVP link for that reception.

For more information about Future Skyhawk Receptions, email Sydney Roney, admissions outreach coordinator, at sroney4@utm.edu.

Those interested in attending UT Martin for the first time may go to www.utm.edu/visit and find information about the university and ways to set up campus tours or take part in introductory events like Preview Days
