Dr. Dwight Melvyn Moore

Dr. Dwight Melvyn Moore, OBGYN, was recently inducted into The Delta Boulé of the Sigma Pi Phi fraternity, an international Greek letter fraternity.

Black professionals of distinction who have college degrees as well as professional degrees must be invited in order to join.

The founders’ devotion to equality and mutual respect stemmed from traditions traced to ancient Greece and to the tradition of leadership.

Members are known as “Archons.” The Memphis Chapter was founded in 1910, and is comprised of 125 chapters in the United States, the Bahamas and Canada, with a total membership of 3,928 Archons.

Dr. Moore, a Covingtonian, resides in Collierville with his wife and son. He is the son of Thelma Bush Moore and of the late W. Melvyn Moore.

The Induction Ceremony was held at the Ridgeway Country Club in Memphis with five inductees.
