Brighton High football team releases revised schedule after Memphis teams sit out

Shelby County Schools officials announced earlier this week that its school's football teams will not being playing games until the end of September or early October. That has left some teams in other counties scrambling to rearrange their schedules. Neither Covington nor Tipton-Rosemark have any SCS teams on its schedule. Governor lifts restriction to clear the way for high school football to start next month

When Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee signs Executive Order No. 55, which he said Tuesday he will do soon, it's full speed ahead for high school football. Covington football booster Dewayne Bennett dies Sunday in Fayette County house fire

On Tuesday afternoon Gov. Bill Lee extended Tennessee’s COVID-19 State of Emergency order to Aug. 29.
