Man in custody after morning stabbing in Munford

Munford Police are currently investigating a stabbing that took place this morning. The department reports a woman, whom they have identified as Loni Melton, was stabbed at Fast Way at approximately 5:45 a.m. She was flown to the Regional One Medical Center in Memphis for treatment where she remains in critical condition. The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported Friday morning that 20-year-old Nicholas Kellum of Burlison was killed overnight. According to the preliminary report, Kellum was driving a 2015 Can-Am Maverick westbound on Western Valley Road when he ran off the roadway, overcorrected and the utility vehicle overturned. Covington man killed on Old Memphis Road

A 21-year-old from Covington died in an accident Monday afternoon, the Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed. Spencer Farabee, who was traveling on what investigators have called a homemade moped, pulled out onto Old Memphis Road from a driveway on the east side of the road.
