Brighton High School student charged with threatening to shoot up the school

A 14-year-old was charged with threatening a mass shooting, Brighton Mayor Stephanie Chapman-Washam said Wednesday. The Brighton High School resource officer became aware of a threat to "shoot up the school" made through Snapchat on Wednesday morning. Shelby County firefighter arrested for domestic assault

A Shelby County firefighter was arrested for aggravated domestic assault, amongst other charges, over the weekend. Covington Police said they were dispatched to a home on Surrey Hill Place on Aug. 24 after it was reported a domestic assault incident had taken place. Combs promises vigilance in wake of multiple bomb threats
