A perfect event for those with a green thumb will be held tomorrow at Brighton Middle School.

The Tipton County Extension Master Gardeners are hosting the Lawn and Garden Expo from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s the 11th straight year for the event, which is free.

The Memphis Herb Society, Tennessee Native Plant Society, University of Tennessee Extension and Tennessee Urban Forestry Council are just a few of the many garden and educational vendors that will be present.

Exhibits will include plants, garden art, garden talks, herb gardening, rain barrels, composting, vegetables, visits with the Master Gardeners and much more. A special garden section will be provided for children activities.

Sourwood trees will be given away to the first 300 people in attendance.
