By Jeff Ireland on May 6, 2020

[metaslider id=5341] There have been a ton of monumental high school basketball games played by Tipton County-area teams since 2010. Though there were no state titles, some teams came close. In other cases, teams made postseason runs that nobody saw coming. Most of the following games were losses for the home team, but that doesn’t make them any less memorable. The backstories … [Read more...] about The 10 most important high school basketball games since 2010

Q and A: Rosemark basketball standout Alex Anderson talks about his brothers and taunting from opposing fans

By Jeff Ireland on February 17, 2020

During a home game against Fayette Academy on Jan. 28, there was a large group of visiting students in the TRA gym. For much of the game, the students chanted "overrated" at TRA 6-6 guard Alex Anderson. It didn't seem to bother him as he scored 26 points in a 63-60 Rebel win. He gets that kind of attention on a regular basis because he's the best player in Rosemark's league, … [Read more...] about Q and A: Rosemark basketball standout Alex Anderson talks about his brothers and taunting from opposing fans

By Jeff Ireland on January 3, 2020

[metaslider id=3475] This is the first time I have compiled a top 10 list for a decade and it was quite a challenge. The past 10 years have produced countless special moments, games and seasons, so picking 10 was very difficult. I tried not to let recency bias play a role, but it does seem like most of these stories happened over the past five years. Thanks to everyone who made … [Read more...] about The top 10 Tipton County sports stories of the decade
