On Tuesday Tipton County's number of confirmed cases grew by 22 more cases. It's not yet known why. Yesterday, the day-over-day number of confirmed cases grew by 214. April 22: Tipton’s case count at 83 for third straight day

For three straight days Tipton County's number of confirmed cases has been 83. Though the county averaged two new cases per day, an outbreak at the Mason prison caused the number of cases to increase from 56 on Sunday. April 18: More than 250 people tested at surge event Saturday

Close to 3 p.m. Saturday dozens of cars were waiting for their turn for COVID-19 testing at an event set up by the Tennessee Department of Health. April 17: Testing ramps up, Tipton increases to 55 cases

This week the state began testing anyone who wants to be tested and the number of tests being conducted skyrocketed Friday. A week ago, Tipton had conducted 436 tests, which was considerably higher than its rural neighbors. This week, that increased from 562 on Monday to 587 on Tuesday, 595 on Wednesday and 599 Thursday.
