A fatal house fire in Drummonds is under investigation. The Tipton County Sheriff's Office and Tipton County Fire Department responded to a house fire on Patricia Lane at approximately 2:25 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2. Fireworks were the cause of a house fire that displaced a single mother and her children

A Covington family has been displaced by a fire investigators believe was caused by illegal use of fireworks. “Someone determined that a firework came through the window,” said Covington Fire Chief Richard Griggs.
