Oil spill reported in Covington subdivision last month

During a public safety committee meeting Tuesday, Covington Fire Chief Richard Griggs announced an oil spill was reported in a Covington subdivision on Feb. 18.  “It looked to be used motor oil in a ditch,” he said. “We were told it was the oil out of an 18-wheeler truck.”  The spill was located in front of a home on Andrew Street, in the subdivision in northwest Covington. Munford’s River of Life Church destroyed in overnight fire

Munford's River of Life Church was destroyed by fire overnight. Fire chief Jeremy Reeves said the department was dispatched just before 11:30 p.m. and the building was already 75 percent involved. Firefighters battling large blaze in Brighton
