April 9: Tipton has 39 confirmed cases, now out of top spot for percentage of confirmed cases

On Thursday, Tipton's confirmed cases increased to 39, up by one from the previous day. There's still one person hospitalized at Baptist Tipton awaiting test results. On Monday four people were hospitalized, however three have received negative results. Tipton also moved out of the top spot for percentage of confirmed cases amongst those tested. April 8: Confirmed cases remain at 38, one person remains hospitalized and more demographic data for statewide results

Though its increased by an average of 1.8 per day over the last three weeks, Wednesday's number of confirmed cases remained unchanged from Tuesday as did Tipton's cases per capita. Tipton County will likely see $1.87M in local government grants

This summer Tipton County is set to receive $1.87 million in local government grants from the state for one-time, local expenses for the 2021 fiscal year. “Capital maintenance, public safety and road projects don’t pause for disasters like the March tornadoes and the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Gov. Take a drive down Highway 51 in Tipton County and the gas prices you'll see are eye popping. On Wednesday Mapco Mart, Exxon, Kroger and FasTimes in Covington all had the lowest grade of gas priced at $1.39 per gallon. C-Town Market was at $1.37 and Midway Market and Walmart were at $1.38.
