A fourth baseball player from the 2020 Tipton-Rosemark Academy class will be playing at the next level. Jacob Cole named head baseball coach at Tipton-Rosemark Academy

Ten days is all it took for the Tipton-Rosemark Academy administration to find a new baseball coach, and they didn’t have to look far. Jacob Cole, who had been an assistant at TRA for six years, accepted the head coaching position on Friday. In 12-plus seasons while Brad Smith was the head baseball coach at Tipton-Rosemark Academy, 32 players signed baseball scholarships, the Rebels made the state tournament four times and finished state runner-up three times. On May 7 of last year, Tipton-Rosemark really needed a win against Northpoint Christian in a region semifinal game. Tipton-Rosemark senior Tyler Byrd commits to play baseball at Northwest Mississippi CC

Back in 2016, when Tyler Byrd was in the eighth grade, Rosemark's starting shortstop got into a collision with another player and had to miss some time in concussion protocol.
