Truck and tractor pull that raises money for Covington hoops coming to town Saturday

The USA Pullers are headed to Covington.

On Saturday, Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. at Cobb-Parr Park truck and tractor pull enthusiasts will get to see a night full of action in various classes and also help raise money for the Covington Round Ball Basketball Club, the booster club for Covington High School basketball.

The one-day pull will feature all of the USA Pullers classes. This includes two classes of hot farm tractors, 8,000-pound pro-stock diesel four-wheel drive trucks, 7,000-pound super stock, 9,300-pound super farm tractors, 9,500-pound limited pro stock, pro farm/small block hot rod and farm stock tractors.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. and people are invited to come early to tour the pits and see their favorite vehicle. Registration will close at 6 p.m. followed by a drivers’ meeting. The first hook will be at 7 p.m., following the National Anthem.
