The Covington Lady Charger softball team continued its dominance of District 15-AA when they hosted the district tournament last week and early this week.

Covington won three straight, including a 14-2 rout of Bolivar on Monday in the title game, to claim the program’s 26th district title.

Monday’s title game was decided in the first inning when six of the first seven Covington batters scored for a 6-0 lead. Eight more scored in the second frame, highlighted by a three-run homer by Anna Gover.
