Dianne Jones Harris
Date of Death – August 5, 2019
Mrs. Dianne Jones Harris, 76 of Mason, passed
away on the morning of August 5, 2019. Mrs. Harris
was a tech inspector for Sharp Manufacturing
and a member of the Central Christian Church in
Covington.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Mr. Jerry
D. Harris of Mason; her daughter, Melissa Dianne
McGuary (Darrell) of Hernando, MS; her son,
Todd Scudder (Renee) of Atoka; her step-daughter,
Haley McNair (Lucas) of Bartlett; her step-sons,
Andrew Harris (Janet) of Memphis, Matthew Harris
(Mary) of Memphis, Timothy Harris of Bartlett,
and Samuel Harris (Leslie) of Arlington; her sisters,
Betty Lou (Doll) Fowler and Helen Lavergne
Pierce; her brothers, Norman Stanley Jones and
Donald Lee Jones; her two grandchildren, Hunter
McGuary and Dylan Scudder; and her seven stepgrandchildren,
Luke and Landen McNair, Breana
and Hudson Harris, Camille and Georgia Harris,
and Josephine Harris.
Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents,
Eddie Boyd and Altie Myrtle Jones; and by
her siblings, Grover Cleveland Jones, Robert Lee
Jones, Garner Boyd “Buddy” Jones, Eddie Boyd
“Junior” Jones, Jr., Wilton Jones, Welton Jones,
Herbert Hoover Jones, Thirstle Jones, Razzie Myrtle
Jones “Sis, Walter Sayles Jones, and Theodora
Earnestine “Midge” Jones.
The services for Mrs. Harris was held on Wednesday,
Aug. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Maley-Yarbrough Chapel.
Visitation took place from noon till 2 p.m., prior
to the services beginning. Interment followed in
Covington Memorial Gardens.
The family has requested memorials be sent to
the Alzheimer’s Association.
