Brighton High graduate Caylee Comer signs softball scholarship with Mississippi College

By Jeff Ireland on July 15, 2022

Northwest Mississippi Community College infielder and Brighton High graduate Caylee Comer recently signed with Mississippi College.

Comer has been a valuable asset at the plate in her two seasons in Senatobia, becoming a mainstay at first base for the duration of her sophomore season and most of her freshman campaign.

She has a career batting average of .338 with nine home runs, ranking sixth all-time in that category. Her six home runs in 2021 are also tied for sixth in a single season.

Comer will become only the second Northwest softball standout to suit up for Mississippi College, joining Heath Griffith (2015-16).

Comer was consistently honored on the college’s President’s and Vice President’s lists, most recently for the Fall 2021 semester.
