Mrs. Ann Sue Walton Thornton, 88, of Covington,
passed away on the morning of August 1,
2019. Mrs. Thornton was a sales clerk for Wakefield
Drugs and a member of the First Presbyterian
Church.
Mrs. Thornton is survived by her daughter, Pam
Wilson (Jeff) of Covington; her grandchildren,
Clint Daniel (Kelli), Jennifer Castelaw, and Corey
Wilson (Ashley); and by her great-grandchildren,
Harris Howard, Anna Clay Howard, Maggie
Castelaw, and Henry Owen Wilson.
Mrs. Thornton was preceded in death by her
parents, Deward T. and Vera Lee Walton; by her
daughter, Pat Gilbreath and her siblings, D T “Junior”
Walton and Mildred Walton.
A graveside service was held for Mrs. Thornton
on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 11:30 a.m., at the R. H.
Munford Cemetery. A short visitation was held
from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the
graveside.
The family has requested memorials be made to
the First Presbyterian Church in Covington.
