Winford Lavon Jordan

Winford Lavon Jordan, 91, a retired pipefitter for Grinnell Sprinkler Co., died Wednesday, November 6, 2019, in Memphis. Mr. Jordan was a member of Elm Grove United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Millington Masonic Lodge.
The husband of Jean Cothran Jordan, he also leaves his sons Edward (Carol) Jordan of Texas, Larry (Sharon) Jordan of Rosemark, Bill (Jennifer) Jordan of Anderson, S.C. and Malcome (Shirley) Adkison of Burlison; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Hazel Gurley and Nadine Schofield; brother Joe Jordan and a great-grandchild.
Visitation for Mr. Jordan was Saturday, Nov. 9, from noon until services at 2 p.m., all at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home. Interment followed in Covington Memorial Gardens.
The family asks that any memorials be made to the Gideons.
