Roy “Chick” Mathis
September 9, 1934 – December 28, 2019

Roy “Chick” Mathis, 85, of Covington, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019.  Mr. Mathis was a retired transportation officer with the TN Dept. of Corrections; a 26-year member of the Tennessee National Guard and a member of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jannie Mathis and one daughter, Sharon Farrington of Jeffersonville, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lofton and Fannie Mae Bennett Mathis; one son, Keith Mathis; one step- son, Randy Liles; seven brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 30 at the Covington Funeral Home with interment in R. H. Munford Cemetery.
