Pete Chavous

Pete Chavous, 68, of Munford, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019.  Mr. Chavous was a member of the Brighton Church of Christ, a retired U.S. Navy veteran of 25 years, serving in Vietnam and Desert Storm, but most of all, he loved being called “Paw Paw Pete.”

Mr. Chavous is survived by his wife, Pam Barry Chavous; two children, Jason Chavous and Carrie Connelly; his sister, Bunny Miller and two grandchildren, Alex Connelly and Caroleena Connelly.

Mr. Chavous was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Carolyn Harper Chavous and his brother, George Chavous.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Covington Funeral Home with interment to follow in Salem Cemetery in Atoka.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
