Mrs. Betty Jo McClain Bennett, 82, of Covington, passed away on the evening of April 5, 2020. Mrs. Bennett, the widow of Mr. Richard Bennett, was an administrators assistant with AT&T and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
She is survived by her siblings, Brenda Compton (Bobby) of Springville, Tenn., Gail Lents (Curtis) of Halls and Bo McClain (Margaret) of Covington; her nephews, Mark McClain (Cindy), Clinton McClain, Kirk Elam (Kathy) and David McClain (Susan); her nieces, Debbie Kinney (Tommy), Jenny Smith (Brian), Kacky Ward (Jason), Teri Turner (Jeff) and Ashley (John) Griffin and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bodie “B.L” and Edith Robinson McClain; her siblings, Ken McClain (Dot), Martha Carolyn McClain and niece, Pam Rogers.
A private graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 8, at Covington Memorial Gardens.
