U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announced Wednesday afternoon a cash reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a Covington murder suspect.
Davarious Montrail Taylor, 19, is wanted for the March 11 shooting death of 23-year-old Andrew Terry.
Covington officers were dispatched to the Broadmeadow Place apartment complex on Peeler Road at approximately 10:50 p.m. after a shooting was reported. When they arrived they found Terry in a black sedan suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to Baptist-Tipton where he was pronounced dead.
Covington Police Chief Larry Lindsey said leads on three persons of interest were developed and after further investigation the shooter was identified as Taylor, who lives in Covington.
A warrant for his arrest was issued the following day. He has not yet been located and the U.S. Marshals hope the public can help.
Miller said the amount of the cash reward will not be released, but it’s being used as an incentive to bring the suspect back to Tipton County.
Taylor is considered armed and dangerous. He is 5’10” and approximately 160 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to contact special agent Kilpatrick at 731-571-0280.
