Covington police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for injuring someone in a shooting over the weekend.

On Monday, 21-year-old Jordan “Jo Jo” Grant turned himself in to police. He was charged with attempted second degree murder, aggravated assault with injury, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and tampering with evidence.

Grant was held without bond until his arraignment, which is expected today.

Police said the shooting took place Saturday afternoon. The victim, who has not yet been identified, is in stable condition at the Regional One Medical Center in Memphis.
