Covington Police announced Wednesday they’d made an arrest in a two-month-old drive-by shooting.

According to a release by the department, shots were reported fired in the 800 block of Barlow Avenue on Sept. 12.

“Upon investigation it was was learned that the victim was driving in the area when he shot at by a black man,” said police chief Larry Lindsey. “The victim’s vehicle was struck by gunfire, but the victim was not injured.”

Lindsey said Andrevius Collier, 24, was arrested on Sunday and charged with attempted first-degree murder, employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and two counts of reckless endangerment.

“This was outstanding work by the CPD’s Criminal Investigations Division,”  Lindsey said.
