Munford High FFA qualifies for six state contests

Munford High School FFA members have been busy competing in virtual FFA events this spring and have qualified for the state contests in six different events.

FFA Career Development Event, or CDEs, are contests that members compete in to test their skills learned through agricultural education instruction. Munford FFA members have competed in the Creed Speaking, Prepared Public Speaking, Agriculture Marketing Plan, Parliamentary Procedure, Conduct of Chapter Meetings and Meat Evaluation and Technology.

The Munford FFA Agriculture Marketing Plan team was the regional champion and has advanced to the state event to be held virtually in May. Team members are Tori Chapman, Mia Matanane and John Dylan Conrad.

Freshman Sarah Ault represented the Munford FFA in the Creed Speaking event. She was the regional champion and will compete in person at the State FFA Convention in June.

2020 Munford High graduate Haley Wilson represented the Munford FFA in the Prepared Speaking event. She was the regional champion and will compete in person at the State FFA Convention in June.

The Munford FFA Parliamentary Procedure team was the cegional champions and has advanced to the state event to be held virtually in May. Team members are Jada Curlin, Jesse Brooks, Brooklyn McWilliams, Claire Hatch, Katie Greuling, Brooke Joyner and Houston Null.

The Meats Evaluation and Technology team was the regional champions and has already competed in the state event, where they were they were the seventh-place team in Tennessee. Team members are Jada Curlin, Katherine Crow, Ionna Dunlap and Brooke Joyner.

The Conduct of Chapter Meetings team was the regional champions and has advanced to the state event to be held virtually in May. Team members are Cali Broom, Sarah Ault, Katie Greuling, Houston Null, Jace Nelson, Billy Friener, Bryson Brewer, Abigail Ballard and Elizabeth Westerfield.
