If premium coffee and chicken sandwiches are your thing, Munford is going to be your kinda town.
On Monday, Mayor Dwayne Cole announced both Starbucks and Chick-fil-A are set to open new locations along Highway 51 S, adding to the city’s growing business community.
After resolving legal issues related to easement concerns, Chick-fil-A has officially purchased property at 11103 Highway 51 S, next to McDonald’s. With the Munford Planning Commission having approved the construction plans, an official groundbreaking announcement is expected soon.
Not far behind, Starbucks has submitted plans for a location adjacent to the future Chick-fil-A site. The Munford Planning Commission reviewed and approved the plans on February 11, pending the fulfillment of contingencies. Once completed, this will provide Munford residents with a new spot to grab their favorite coffee beverages without traveling to Millington.
Starbucks is also expected to have a location in the currently-under-expansion Kroger.
Cole expressed enthusiasm for the new businesses, stating, “We look forward to welcoming Starbucks and Chick-fil-A to our Munford/South Tipton County business community soon.”
Stay tuned for further announcements on construction timelines and opening dates.
