The history

After the state determined the building was no longer safe for police officers, the former Covington police station, just off of the square, was vacated in March 2017. The 8,800 square foot, two-story facility was constructed in 1957 and has also served as the fire station and mayor’s office.

The listing

Since the police department relocated four years ago, the building has been used as storage. It’s being sold as-is, but the city has had repairs made to its HVAC system and roof. It does need renovations and other repairs, but is located in a prime commercial area. It’s been listed with Covington Realty & Auction since February.
