Children’s Classic is here – here’s how you can get your copies!

By Echo Day on June 10, 2021

Congratulations to this year’s cover model, Karsyn Anderson! She is the daughter of Josh and Erin Anderson.

Children’s Classic, The Leader’s most-anticipated magazine of the year, is out today, Thursday, June 10.

The 64-page glossy magazine features hundreds of portraits of local children who participated in annual fundraiser for the Exchange Club-Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse sponsored by InSouth Bank.

Famed photographers Richard and Phil Ramsey, a father-son team, photograph children and donate the $20 session fee to the center for Child Abuse Prevention Month in April. The Leader then publishes these photos and the winner, who is chosen by the Ramseys, is featured on the cover.

Due to COVID-19, this year the event took place several weeks after it usually does and the magazine’s publication was pushed back as well.

“The Children’s Classic is a longstanding tradition in Tipton County, one we’re proud to take part in,” publisher Scott Whaley said. “We’ll have as many copies available as anyone would like to purchase.”

It is included in in-county subscriber copies and will be available for purchase at our office, 111 S. Munford Street in Covington beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday.

Magazines will be $5 each and shipping and handling will be added for those who wish to have their copies mailed to them.

Copies will not be inserted into the newspapers for sale at our rack and dealer locations.

If you’d like to have yours shipped, please call 901-476-7116 or visit covingtonleader.com.

“We’d like to congratulate this year’s big winner, Karsyn Anderson, and those who won the honorable mention spots,” said Whaley. “Though they’re all winners in our book.”
