The Brighton High School robotics team had a huge day last Saturday with two teams competing against each other in the finals of a tournament held at West Colliervile Middle School.

Aidan Booth, Vincent Patillo, Allysa Gay, Rachel Richter, John Kelly and Dylan Gale were the members of the Brighton team that took first place at the event. They won the Excellent Award, which qualified them for the state tournament to be held March 3-4 at Brentwood Academy, and the Sportsmanship Award.

The Brighton team of of Gerrit Nemec, Houston Stewart, Emily Lehmen, Preston Cranford and Adalyn Harry won the Design Award and the Think Award for their skills in programming. This team is ranked 17th in the World and No. 1 in the state for their virtual skills programming.
