The Covington Lions Club Pancake Breakfast is one of the longest-running event in Tipton  County.  Here are five things to know if you go.

  1. As always, it will be held Saturday from 6 to 11 a.m. at Charger Academy (formerly called Covington Integrated Arts Academy), 760 Bert Johnston Avenue.
  2. It’s a great deal. Tickets are just $5 and children 3 and under eat free. Tickets can be purchased at the door or from any club member.
  3. This is the 67th year for the event. Over the last dozen years the event has raised approximately $150,000, which has helped nearly 2,000 people with vision and hearing problems.
  4. You’ll likely know a lot of people there. Last year, an estimated 1,500 people attended the event. It’s a great time to reconnect with old friends.
  5. There are more than just pancakes on the menu. About 50 people, including 25 club members, will also be serving up bacon, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.
