The Covington Lions Club Pancake Breakfast is one of the longest-running event in Tipton County. Here are five things to know if you go.
- As always, it will be held Saturday from 6 to 11 a.m. at Charger Academy (formerly called Covington Integrated Arts Academy), 760 Bert Johnston Avenue.
- It’s a great deal. Tickets are just $5 and children 3 and under eat free. Tickets can be purchased at the door or from any club member.
- This is the 67th year for the event. Over the last dozen years the event has raised approximately $150,000, which has helped nearly 2,000 people with vision and hearing problems.
- You’ll likely know a lot of people there. Last year, an estimated 1,500 people attended the event. It’s a great time to reconnect with old friends.
- There are more than just pancakes on the menu. About 50 people, including 25 club members, will also be serving up bacon, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.
