Here’s how you can enter the Tipton County Museum’s virtual art and photography exhibit

By Echo Day on September 24, 2020

In honor of its 22nd anniversary on Nov. 11, the Tipton County Museum will be hosting an international art and photography virtual exhibit.

The subject of the work entered must be the Tipton County Museum or its grounds. Photographers must visit the museum property to create their work, but other visual artists may use reference photos available on the museum’s website or Facebook page.

“Proceeds from this exhibit will go towards preserving military and local history, protecting our nature, creating museum exhibits and educating our children.

Judges for the exhibit will be Covington Mayor Justin Hanson and South Tipton Chamber of Commerce President Rosemary Bridges.

The contest is open to the public and is for ages 18 and up.

The deadline to enter is Friday, Oct. 16. Winners will be announced on the museum’s website on Nov. 11.

The Museum is open on Tuesday and Friday, 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., and Thursday from noon until 4 p.m.  The grounds are open daily from 9 a.m. until dark.  If the gates are closed, please park across the street.

The entry fee per image is $20 for museum members and $45 for non-members.  The prospectus and entry form is available at www.tiptoncountymuseum.com.

Foster is still looking for sponsors as well. Those interested are asked to call the museum at (901) 476-0242.
