The TRA Rebels are 3-0 after defeating South Fulton

By Jeff Ireland on September 5, 2023

Last season did not start well for the Tipton-Rosemark Academy football team. There’s really no debating that. The Rebels lost their first six games. They still managed to make the playoffs, but the early season stumbles affected the team’s morale. That hasn’t been a problem this season. After the Rebels beat South Fulton 21-14 on the road Friday night, TRA is 3-0 for the first … [Read more...] about The TRA Rebels are 3-0 after defeating South Fulton

Brighton routs Ridgeway for first win of the season

By Jeff Ireland on September 5, 2023

The temperature was in the low 80s when Brighton finished off an impressive 42-6 home win versus Ridgeway Friday night, so it was pretty toasty. Brighton loses early momentum, drops opener to Henry County

By Jeff Ireland on August 22, 2023

[metaslider id=12638] Early on in Brighton's season opener Friday night at home vs. Henry County, the Cardinals, particularly the offense, had some rhythm. The Cardinals drove down the field on the first possession of the game and Nolan Carson kicked a 25-yard field goal to give Brighton a 3-0 lead. Brighton's second drive of the game progressed to the red zone, but yielded … [Read more...] about Brighton loses early momentum, drops opener to Henry County

Munford beats Covington in season opener for second straight year

By Jeff Ireland on August 21, 2023

[metaslider id=12624] With five minutes left in the third quarter of Friday night's Covington-Munford game, it looked like the packed house on hand in Munford was going to get something that has been rare of late: a down-to-the-wire football game between two Tipton County rivals. When Covington running back Skylan Smith scored from nine yards out to cut Munford's lead to … [Read more...] about Munford beats Covington in season opener for second straight year
