Covington PD investigating overnight homicide

Covington Police are investigating an overnight shooting that killed a 22-year-old. Officers were dispatched to Bluebird Cove at Loon Lane after gunshots were reported just after midnight Sunday. Alissa McCommon arrested again after harassing teenaged victim, violating bond

The former teacher charged earlier this month with raping a 12-year-old has been arrested for harassing and stalking a teenaged victim. McCommon was originally arrested on Sept. 8. Candlelight vigil planned to honor Covington mass shooting victim Tamya Ewing-Somerville

There will be a candlelight vigil Wednesday evening to honor the life of a young woman killed in a mass shooting in Covington Saturday night. Man arrested after domestic violence incident, barricade situation

A man was arrested in Munford after barricading himself in a house Sunday night. Munford Police Chief Randal Baskin said officers were dispatched to Mary Avenue at approximately 6:30 p.m. for a domestic violence incident. Accused of rape of a child, Alissa McCommon resigned from her position as a teacher

Brighton High School student charged with threatening to shoot up the school

A 14-year-old was charged with threatening a mass shooting, Brighton Mayor Stephanie Chapman-Washam said Wednesday.
